GFPD Dinner Dance to Bring Modesto, California Community Together on 10/7/2017

The GFPD Dinner Dance is a biennial fundraiser that Jose and Carolina Alfaro began in memory of their children, Diego and Adrian, as a way to fundraise for the GFPD. This fundraiser, now in it’s 4th year, brings people of all ages together to dance and enjoy the lively Mike Torres Band.

There are also opportunities to participate in the silent auction. Many guests have commented on the overwhelming sense of love and positive energy at this event. Attendance at the Dinner Dance grows each year because of this incredible atmosphere. . Each guest is able to learn more about PBD and the GFPD. Guests in the past have become sponsors, donors, volunteers, and GFPD advocates because of the amazing experience. At the end of the night, there are also raffle prizes and a tons of great memories.

I asked Carolina and Jose about their event and what keeps supporters coming back each year.

What are some highlights from the event?

“Recongizing our GFPD families in attendance is one of our biggest highlights as well as the silent auction and dance!”

Why did you start this event?

“We started this event in memory of our 2 children who were affected by a PBD. Both Diego and Adrian were resilient, strong little warriors who taught us the true meaning of unconditional love and advocacy. It’s their memory and the lives of all PBD children that drives our family to fundraise.”

Join us October 7th as we dance the night away while supporting the GFPD and families of children diagnosed with Peroxisomal Biogenesis Disorders (PBD).
